Hanoi festival to honour short feature films
Participants discussed implementation of policies and legislation on biodiversity in Vietnam at a seminar in Hanoi on October 19 co-organised by the National Assembly's Commission of Science, Technology and Environment and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE).

The Wafm Short Feature Film Festival, themed ‘Stories of Youth’, will be held in Hanoi from October 23-26 by the Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents, under the Vietnam Cinematography Association, in collaboration with the Cinema Development Limited Company.
The festival will introduce 17 outstanding short feature films by young film makers who have participated in projects held by the centre over recent years.
The event will be divided into four sessions with stories about ‘Loneliness’ (four films), ‘Borderlines’ (five films), ‘Families’ (four films) and ‘Sorrows’ (four films). All films will be screened at the Vietnam Cinematography Association at 51 Tran Hung Dao Street.
The selected films are highly praised and have won many prestigious awards at domestic and international festivals.
During the festival, cinema lovers will have a chance to meet and talk with well-known directors including Bui Thac Chuyen, Nguyen Hoang Diep, Phan Gia Nhat Linh and Do Quoc Trung, as well as talk with screenwriter Vincent Ngo at a seminar on writing screenplays for films.
The non-profit event aims to raise funds for the Young Movie Talents Fund supporting film projects by the Vietnam Cinema Association as well as offering an opportunity for young talented film makers to present their works.
