First international standard motorcycle course opens in Vietnam

The Khang Thong Group on February 26 introduced its training and competition motorcycle course HappyLand in Ben Luc district, in the southern province of Long An.

The 139,000 square metre field is considered the first international standard motorsport and automotive track in Vietnam, with a capacity of up to 25,000 spectators.

It includes 1.4 km of asphalt road for motorcycles, 1.1 km of off-road for motocross and ATV vehicles, 7.5 km for Rally racing, 18,000 square metre training ground for Moto Gymkhana, and 5,000 square metre training ground for bikes and for children ages 5 and up.

The track offers 12 integrated racing genres for bicycles, motorcycles, and cars, as well as providing training with international safety and professional standards.

According to director of HappyLand Nguyen Ngoc Hoan, the course is aimed at providing a safe and professional playground for Vietnam’s motorsport community and selecting talented athletes for regional and international tournaments.

Happyland will officially start operating in mid-March with training courses for motorcycle and automobile driving.

The course will host the Vietnam Motorcycle and Rally Car Championships 2016 from April 29 to May 1.
