Third Ao dai festival in Ho Chi Minh city to be held in March
The third Ao dai (traditional long dress) festival will be held on March 5th - 19th in Ho Chi Minh city by the Departments of Tourism; Culture and Sports; and related units.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh city will encourage people to wear Ao dai in daily activities from March 1st - 31st.
The festival aims to honor the beauty of Vietnam’s Ao dai, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of the nation. It is also an activity to serve the cultural and spiritual life of people in the city, creating an environment for cultural exchange between people and Ao dai designers and craftsmen, as well as diversifying tourism products to attract domestic and international visitors to the city.
During the festival, various activities will be organized such as a “Ao dai city- My loved city” trip from the Student Culture House (No 643 Dien Bien Phu, ward 1) to cultural and natural heritage sites for students who wear Ao dai and travel on bicycles to promote environmental protection; Ao dai fair including exhibition, exchanging and trading accessories such as handbag and wooden shoes; and Ao dai photo contest.
The opening ceremony of the festival featuring the art program “Ao dai - Endless beauty” will take place at 18h30pm of March 8th at the city Youth Cultural House (No 04 Pham Ngoc Thach, Ben Nghe ward, district 1).
