The ceremony saw the presence of Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, leaders of ministries and sectors and numerous local residents and visitors.

Located in Nhan Dao commune, Ly Nhan district, Tran Thuong temple worships national hero Tran Quoc Tuan (General Tran Hung Dao) (1228-1300), his relatives and other generals who contributed to the national struggle against Yuan Mongol invaders in the 13th century.

The temple is appreciated for its cultural and historical background, unique architecture, interior design and natural landscape.

The temple also houses valuable worshipping objects, ancient books and a statue of General Tran Hung Dao.

The same day, a food-distributing festival was held at the Tran Thuong Temple. The festival is held to commemorate the time when General Tran Hung Dao established a granary for the Tran dynasty’s army, where the Tran Thuong Temple is now located, during the fight against Mongolian invaders.

During the festival, about 150,000 food parcels were handed out to visitors. Each parcel contained red bean, green bean corn, soy beans and sticky rice – key staples produced by Ly Nhan residents.
