Truong Dinh's death anniversary recognized as national intangible cultural heritage

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced the list of national intangible cultural heritage in 2016, including Truong Dinh’s death anniversary ceremony (in Go Cong town, Tien Giang province).

Seven national intangible cultural heritage has just announced this year including four traditional festivals, one handidraft, one voice, one text, one social habit and one belief. In particular, Truong Dinh’s death anniversary (in Go Cong town, Tien Giang province) is on the list published this year.

Truong Dinh's death anniversary is the large festival in Go Cong town, which was held on an annual Agust 20 every yearr to review the life and career of the national hero in early days of the resistance war against the French colonialists. He had set a shining example of patriotism and strong will to fight against invaders and defend the country which has been preserved and promoted by younger generations.
