Nam jumps five places in world tennis rankings

Vietnamese tennis player Ly Hoang Nam jumped up five places from 877th to 872nd in the latest world rankings.

The 19-year-old player hasn’t played any events over the past week but his rankings rose due to his rivals poor performances, who were in-turn downgraded.

At present, the Tay Ninh-born player has a total of 18 points.

In April, Nam ranked in 870th place, the best position of a Vietnamese tennis player ever recorded throughout history.
