Photos of Truong Sa archipelago in May 2016 on display
Nearly 70 photos of Truong Sa archipelago taken by journalists and former journalists of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) are on display at an exhibition which opened in Ho Chi Minh city on June 23rd.
These photos were taken during May fact-finding tours of Truong Sa island district and the platform DK1. They reflect the beautiful scenery, and the daily activities of the soldiers and islanders stationed there, as well as their meetings with overseas Vietnamese and those from the mainland.

The exhibition is held to mark the 91st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21st) and implement the instruction of the Party Central Committee Commission for Popularization and Education on dissemination on sea and islands 2016. It aims to raise people’s awareness of maritime issues and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc in protecting the country’s sovereignty over seas and islands.
The exhibition will remain open at VNA’s Southern Region Representative Office until July 23rd.
