Two art performances to mark 40 years of Ho Chi Minh city

Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee will organize two special art performances, at 20h00 on July 2nd and 3rd at President Ho Chi Minh statue and Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in district 1, to celebrate 40 years of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh.

On July 2nd, the performance will be held by Ho Chi Minh city Television. Its highlight will be an artistic lighting show on the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee’s building.

Apart from famous songs, a collection of artistic ao dai by designer Hoai Sang will be introduced. Documentary films about the city's development will be screened. There will also an exchange with the city leaders and outstanding representatives for intellectuals and overseas Vietnamese.

The program on July 3rd will be held by Ho Chi Minh city Department of Culture and Sports, and the Youth Communications Group to introduce selected songs praising President Ho Chi Minh and the city's development. It will also introduce the latest collection of ao dai by designer Suong Nguyen.

Both programs will be broadcast live on HTV9 and HTV4 channels.
