Shooter Vinh among top medalists at Rio Olympics
Vietnamese shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh is currently among the top medalists at the 2016 Rio Olympics, joining five other athletes in seventh position with a stunning collection of one gold and one silver.

Vinh won the first Olympic gold medal of his career and the first for Vietnam on August 7, as he overcame many favourites in the finals round to win the men’s 10m air pistol event with 202.5 points.
Three days later, the 41-year-old military officer continued to perform impressively bringing in another silver medal for the country in the men’s 50m slow fire pistol discipline, with a final score of 191.3.
Swimmer Katie Ledecky of the United States is leading the individual medal tally with three gold and one silver, followed by Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu and US male swimmer Michael Phelps in second place with three gold each.
Japanese artistic gymnast Kohei Uchimura comes in fourth place with two gold medals, while two swimmers, Madeline Dirado of the US and Emma Mckeon of Australia, share fifth position with each winning one medal of each colour.
The five other athletes with the same medal rank as Vietnam’s Vinh include Michael Jung of Germany (Equestrian), Astier Nicolas of France (Equestrian), Allison Schmitt of the US (swimming), Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden (swimming) and Yang Sun of China (swimming).
