Thanh Hoa triumph at national athletics champs

Thanh Hoa triumphed at the National Athletics Championships, which wrapped up at Hang Đay Stadium in Ha Noi on Saturday.

The team brought home nine gold medals, two silvers and five bronze medals. The Military team came in second with seven gold medals, 10 silvers and five bronze medals. Ha Noi placed in third place, with six gold medals, seven silvers and seven bronze medals.

This year’s event saw many outstanding athletes compete, such as Quach Thị Lan, Quach Cong Lich of Thanh Hoa and Le Tu Chinh of Ho Chi Minh City.

Lan, who has trained in the US, defeated Olympian Nguyen Thi Huyen of Nam Đinh to win the women’s 400m and 400m hurdle category.

Meanwhile, Lan’s brother, Lich, also won gold medals in the men’s 400m, 400m hurdle, 4x400m relay and 4x200m relay.

Ho Chi Minh City’s Chinh won four gold medals in the women’s 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay and 4x200m relay.
