Free screenings of Golden Kite Award-nominated films
Nineteen Golden Kite Award-nominated films will be screened for free at five cinemas in Ho Chi Minh City from April 3-7.
The films, including Father and Son by Director Luong Dinh Dung; I'll Wait by Director Dustin Nguyen; Sut by Director Viet Max; Tam Cam—The Untold Story by Director Ngo Thanh Van; Fanatic by Director Charlie Nguyen; Saigon, I Love You by Director Ly Minh Thang; Misson for Heart of Director Do Duc Thinh; Waiting for Tomorrow of Director Dinh Tuan Vu; Saigon Bodyguards of Ken Ochiai; 12 constellations: Drawing Lines for Love Runs by Vu Ngoc Phuong and Tik Tak, I Love You of Tran Kamy, will be screened at Cinebox, Cinestar Quoc Thanh, CGV Thao Dien, BHD and Vietnam Center of Art Research and Film Archives in Ho Chi Minh City.

The audience will get tickets from the first day of April at the location above.
In addition, a screening programme featuring ROK movies marking the 2016 Golden Kite Awards will take place at Cinebox from April 8 - 10.
The organising board received 118 cinematographic submissions in various categories, such as featured film, documentary, cartoon, and science; and 5 film studies and criticism.
Awards include the titles, “Golden Kite Award”, “Silver Kite Award”, “The jury award”, “Best director”, “Best cameraman”, “Best actor”, “Best actress” and “Best designer” in every category.
The award ceremony of the 2016 Golden Kite Awards will be held at the Military Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Binh District on April 9. The ceremonies will be broadcast live on VTV1.
The Golden Kite Awards is one of the annual the prestigious film awards of the Vietnam Cinema Association.
