Nguyen Thi That wins national women's open cycling tournament
Nguyen Thi That of Vietnam has won the final stage and the cup at the National Women’s Open Cycling Tournament for An Giang Television Cup.

As the race ended in Long Xuyen city, the Mekong Delta province of An Giang, on July 13, That of Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang team marked her victory, surpassing Kim Hyunji and Jang Sujian Seonjin from the Republic of Korea’s Seoul Cycling Team, who were at the second and third place respectively.

The tournament began on July 8, attracting the participation of 55 cyclists from 11 domestic and foreign teams.
The bicycle race consisted of six stages stretching 450 km through cities and provinces, such as Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh, Vinh Long, Tien Giang and Hau Giang.
According to Nguyen Khanh Hiep, deputy head of the An Giang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism and of the race’s organising board, the new thing this year was the presence of more foreign cyclists in local teams.
The tournament provides a good opportunity for female Vietnamese cyclists to hone their skills and gain experience for the upcoming SEA Games 29 in Malaysia next month, he said.
