Photo exhibition highlights beauty of Vietnam
A photo exhibition, featuring the beauty of the people and landscapes in Vietnam, is being held at No.45 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi, from November 3 to 7.
The exhibition attracts many visitors |
Entitled ‘Huong Sac Tram Mien’ (The Fragrance and Colour of Hundreds of Region), the event is one of activities to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the Thang Long Photography Club.
The exhibition is showcasing 150 artistic photos , which record the feelings of the members of the club as they visited many regions across the country, according to Chairman of Thang Long Photography Club Ho Si Trung.
Accordingly, many photos were captured from interesting angles. “Contemplating the exhibition’s photos, I feel like I'm traveling across all of the regions in the country, from the northern mountains, to the sea and islands, as well as many new lands in the world.” Vu Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, said.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Duong Minh Chau, Director of Hanoi’s Cultural Centre, highly appreciated the quality of the works at the exhibition. He also expressed his hope that the Thang Long Photography Club would continue to contribute to the promotion of the beauty of Hanoi in particular, and Vietnam in general, to international friends.
The works will be sold in order to raise funds for club development and the club's volunteer fund. Last year, the club collected over VND100 million from selling 60 photos at the 2016 ‘Huong Sac Tram Mien’ exhibition.
The Thang Long Photography Club has 88 members, of whom five are Vietnam Association of Photography Artists’s members and another 35 are Hanoi Arts Photographers' Association’s members.
