More than 500 young martial artists compete at Vovinam championship
ABO/NDO – More than 500 martial artists from across the country are gathering at the National Youth Vovinam Championship, which opened on June 13 in Phu Yen province.

The athletes are competing for 13 sets of medals in the performance events and 38 in the combat events.
The event aims to boost the popularity of Vovinam in Phu Yen province and in the central provinces in general, while promoting the martial art to neighbouring areas.
The championship is co-hosted by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Vovinam Federation, and the Phu Yen provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
It will last until June 19 at Le Trung Kien Gymnasium in Tuy Hoa city.
