Programme on sustainable development and enhancing competitiveness approved

ABO/NDO - The Prime Minister has recently approved a communication programme on sustainable development and enhancing national competitiveness.

The programme aims to apply and promote time-honoured and motivational values and encourage people from all walks of life to participate in realising the goal of sustainable development and enhancing national competitiveness.

The objective of the programme is to raise the awareness of agencies, organisations, enterprises and people regarding sustainable development and enhancing national competitiveness along with the issues of socio-economic-cultural development and environmental protection.

The programme focuses on four main communication topics including the guideline and policies on sustainable development and enhancing national competitiveness, economic sectors, cultural and social issues, and environmental issues.

The Prime Minister has assigned the Ministry of Information and Communications to take responsibility for the organisation and implementation, as well as directing relevant units and press agencies at the central level to carry out communication activities on sustainable development and enhancing national competitiveness.
