Tien Giang to host the 2018 National Youth Taekwondo Championship

ABO - The Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) has approved the policy of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to host the National Youth Taekwondo Championships in 2018 by document No. 3196/UBND-KGVX.

Accordingly, the PPC proposes the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with related departments and agencies to carry out the procedures for hosting and organizing the championship according to regulations.

For many years, Taekwondo is one of the high-achievement sports of the Tien Giang province. Many athletes have achieved high rankings from the National Games, the Sea Game, Asian and world championships.

At present, the facility has a 2,000-seat multi-purpose sports hall and equipment to host the tournament. In 2016, the Tien Giang province successful hosted the Taekwondo Clubs nationwide Championship and the Pencak Silat National Championship, which was highly appreciated by the General Department of Sports.

Therefore, the General Department of Sports continues to assign to the Tien Giang province to host the National Youth Taekwondo Championships in 2018 and this is also an opportunity for the province to hold a national championship.
