At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 22 sets of medals to athletes with high achievements. The athletic of the Tien Giang province was ranked the first with nine gold medals, seven silver medals and six bronze medals.

The athletic of the Binh Duong province was ranked the second place with 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. The athletic of the Can Tho city was ranked the third place with two gold medals, two silver medals and three bronze medals.

The 2018 Mekong Delta open boxing tournament competed for antagonistic content in 11 weight classes from 45 kg to 81 kg for women and 11 weight classes from 46 kg to 91 kg for male.

This was an opportunity to test and evaluate the training of this Olympic sport subject of units, provinces and cities to prepare for the 8th National Sport Festival at the end of the year in Hanoi.
