ABO – According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, the total number of tourists reached 1,433 thousand in first nine months 2018, up 14.1% over the same period, including the number of international visitors as 486,000, up 14.3% over the same period. The total revenue was estimated VND 8,753 billion, up 14.1% over the same period, mainly from accommodation, catering services as VND 4,394 billion, reached 50.2%.

In first nine months, the tourism sector continued implementing the action program to implement the Resolution No. 11-NQ /TU dated April 5, 2017 by the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development to 2020 and orientation to 2030; strengthening organizations promoting tourism in the area; organizing the Farmtrip delegation to develop tourism products in Dong Thap Muoi sub-region in 3 provinces of Tien Giang-Dong Thap-Long An; joining the day of Ho Chi Minh city tourism festival 2018, the conference promoting tourism "Ha Giang Color" in the Can Tho city, the International Tourism Fair VITM Hanoi in 2018, Ho Chi Minh city International Tourism Fair 2018.
