Vietnam advance to AFC U16 women's finals for first time
ABO/VNA – Vietnam will take part in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U16 Women’s Championship Finals for the first time after finishing second in the group stages in Vientiane, Laos, on March 8.

Vietnam won one, drew one and lost one to finish on four points in Group A behind Australia, who won all three games.
In the last match on March 6, the Vietnamese team tied 0-0 with Iran at the National Stadium.
Australia and Vietnam will join Group B’s China and Bangladesh and the top three teams from the 2017 edition, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea, and Japan, along with hosts Thailand, in the finals in September.
