Many activities respond to Vietnam Book Day

ABO - On April 18, Tien Giang province Department of Information and Communications summarized five years of implementing the Prime Minister's Decision 284 on Vietnam Books Day in the province and organized the 6th Vietnam Book Day in 2019.

Collectives and individuals were awarded certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee.

In the past five years, Tien Giang province Department of Information and Communications has actively coordinated with related departments and agencies to organize many meaningful propaganda activities, responding to Vietnam Book Day such as: Giving 29 school bookcases for schools; 8 bookcases for soldiers of Border Guards; organizing the contest of telling the story with different topics each year; launching and organizing "Reading Day"; displaying images of books, sea and island maps; donating books to commune cultural post offices, border posts, commune libraries with over 9,000 copies of books of all kinds, etc…

With these practical activities, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to nine collectives and individuals with achievements in five years implementing Decision 284.

At the closing ceremony, the Tien Giang province Department of Education and Training also awarded six individuals who won prizes in the contest of telling the story, Tien Giang province Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism awarded certificates of merit to eighteen collectives and individuals with achievement in the “Ambassador of Reading Culture” contest 2019.
