The session took place in a comfortable and eager fashion, with head coach Park Hang-seo cleverly integrating exercise games that help both train reflexes and increase cohesion between players.
In support of the coaching work, the Vietnam Football Federation has equipped the national team with a technical device, which has already been widely used in countries of advanced football, aiming to help the coaching staff measure indicators for the fitness, heartbeat, speed and exercise volume of players during the training session, thus allowing for appropriate lesson adjustments for each player.
Que Ngoc Hai has been entrusted with Vietnam’s captain armband during their King’s Cup campaign while Nguyen Quang Hai and Nguyen Van Toan will serve as the two vice captains.
Speaking to the media ahead of the session, keeper Dang Van Lam showed his confidence while joining the national squad for the King’s Cup. “For me, when putting on the national team jersey, any match or tournament is equally important. My teammates and I will fight our best for national pride.”
The goalie of Thailand’s Muangthong United FC said he hoped that his understanding accumulated through competing in the Thai League would help his Vietnamese teammates to be more confident when confronting the host team on June 5.
