Activities commemorate President Ho's departure to seek ways for national liberation
ABO/NDO – An art programme was held at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on June 5 marking the 111th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s departure to seek ways to liberate the nation (June 5, 1911-2022).
The event entertained the audience with songs and dances praising President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to the national revolutionary cause and the happiness of the people.

Participating artists also brought to the stage performances highlighting the achievements of the Party, authorities and people of Ho Chi Minh City.
The same day, an exhibition opened at Ho Chi Minh City Museum, displaying 150 coloured and black-and-white photos and documents of places in Hue and Ho Chi Minh City, where President Ho Chi Minh once lived and worked before he boarded the ship Admiral Latouche Treville on June 5, 1911, from Nha Rong Wharf of Saigon, beginning his journey to seek ways for national salvation.
Works on display also include images of outcomes in the national Doi Moi (Renewal) process as well as the country’s socio-economic and cultural achievements.
