Art programme celebrates Ho Chi Minh City's anniversary

ABO/NDO – An art programme was held on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in Ho Chi Minh City on July 2 to mark 46 years since Sai Gon – Gia Dinh was renamed after President Ho Chi Minh (1976-2022).

Vietnam’s southern hub of Sai Gon – Gia Dinh was officially renamed after President Ho Chi Minh on July 2, 1946. Over the past 46 years, the Party committee, authorities and people of Ho Chi Minh City have exerted efforts to promote innovation, boost socio-economic development, and ensure social welfare.

The art programme was arranged in three parts, namely ‘Memories of a young city’, ‘Proud of the city I love’, and ‘The shining city’.

The audience at the programme was entertained with songs and dances highlighting the construction and development of Ho Chi Minh City as well as the people’s joy and aspirations for the further growth of the city.
The performances were brought to the stage by popular artists, singers and dancers including Thanh Su, Luu Hien Trinh, Vo Ha Tram, and MTV and V Music bands.
