Film screenings to celebrate August Revolution, National Day
ABO/NDO - Film screenings will be held on a national scale marking the 77th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The free film series will take place in localities across the country from August 19 to September 5.

Four films were selected to be screened in the series, including the feature film "Anh Thay Ngoi Sao" (Superstar Teacher) - produced by CJ HK Entertainment and Hoan Khue Film Production (HK Film) Joint Stock Company; two documentary films: “Vung Tin Tren Con Duong Da Chon” (The Chosen Path) produced by the People’s Army Cinema and "Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nhung Dau An Lich Su" (Nguyen Tat Thanh - Historical Marks) produced by the Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company; and a historical cartoon "Dai Hanh Hoang De" (Emperor Dai Hanh) - produced by Vietnam Cartoon Joint Stock Company.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated that the organisation of the film screening programme can only be carried out in localities when the epidemic situation has been safely controlled and must comply with regulations on disease prevention and control issued by the Ministry of Health.
The ministry stated that if the film screenings cannot be carried out, the films will be shown in the next film screening period.
