Dance Academy affirms pioneering role in Vietnam's dance sector
ABO/NDO- Over its 63-year history, the Vietnam Academy of Dance has affirmed its pioneering role in the dance sector, deserving of the cradle of Vietnam’s dance.
Acting director of the academy, Dr. Meritorious Artist Tran Van Hai, made the statement at a ceremony held in Hanoi on October 25 to mark its 63rd anniversary (1959-2022) and launch the new 2022-2023 academic year.

Over the past 63 years, more than 3,000 students have graduated from the academy, he reported, noting that many of them have become talented dancers working in the fields of performing arts, research, theory and criticism.
They have also held important positions in the state management of culture and art, and have been conferred the titles of Professor, Associate Professor, People's Teacher, People's Artist, Meritorious Teacher, and Meritorious Artist.
The Vietnam Academy of Dance, formerly the Vietnam School of Dance, was established on October 25, 1959.
The academy has been awarded the Independence Orders and Labour Orders by the Party and State, in recognition of its contributions to the development of the country’s culture and arts.
Many officials and lecturers have won the Ho Chi Minh Awards and the State Awards for Literature and Arts.
