At a very young age, Ngan actively participated in the struggle against French colonialists to regain independence and freedom for the Fatherland and happiness for his fellow countrymen.
Until his last breath in 1938, he established himself as an example of loyalty to the Party and the national revolution.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut reviewed the life and great contributions of Comrade Vo Van Ngan towards the cause of national liberation.
He said that the meeting aimed to pay tribute to the great service of comrade Ngan as well as heroes, fallen soldiers, and former leaders of the Party and Vietnamese revolution.
It also sought to educate the younger generation about their ancestors’ patriotism and the country’s revolutionary traditions, he added.
He took the occasion to call for joint efforts from the provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people to successfully realise the Resolution of the 13th Party National Congress and the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
