Exhibition showcases documentary photos about Vietnam's revolutionary cinema

ABO/NDO- An exhibition on the 70 years of Vietnam’s revolutionary cinema was launched at Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture in Thu Duc city on March 23, featuring more than 200 documentary photos of typical events, cinematic works and artists of Vietnamese revolutionary cinematography over the past 70 years.

The exhibition includes the display of more than 200 documentary photos depicting the development of Vietnamese revolutionary cinema, notable entries from the past 22 editions of the Vietnam Film Festival, and portraits of 75 cinematic artists.

The event is also showing a number of films of the Vietnamese revolutionary cinema that won domestic and international film awards.

Deputy Director of the Vietnam Film Institute Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha said that the exhibition aims to widely disseminate historical and cultural values of documents and cinematographic works to the public.

Through Vietnamese cinematographic works of artistic value, the public is provided with information about the history of the nation’s struggle against foreign invaders and history of Vietnam’s revolutionary cinema, contributing to the education about the fine tradtion of Vietnam and study purposes.
The exhibition will run until April 6.
