"Vietnam-Shining Faith" art show features nation's heroic history
ABO/NDO- An art programme entitled “Vietnam-Shining Faith” was held by the Ho Chi Minh City Organising Board of Major Holidays at Nguyen Hue walking street on the evening of September 2, to mark National Day.
The art show was performed in the form of theatrical art, recreating the heroic history of the nation, especially when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, on September 2, 1945.
Many special songs and dance performances depicted Vietnamese historical and cultural values, patriotism and the unyielding will of generations of Vietnamese people in the struggle for national independence, defence and development.
The event saw the participation of famous artists, such as People’s Artist Ta Minh Tam, Meritorious Artist Anh Tuyet, and other artists, namely Pham The Vi, Pham Trang, Thanh Su, Dam Vinh Hung, Gia Bao, Dang Quan, Thuy Trinh and Truc Lai.
At the stage of Nguyen Hue walking street, thousands of spectators, residents and tourists stood together singing the sacred National Anthem and listening to Uncle Ho’s reading of the Declaration of Independence, with infinite emotion and pride.
A series of traditional revolutionary songs learned by heart by Vietnamese people were performed, such as ‘To quoc ta co bay’, ‘Tien quan ca’, ‘Ba Dinh nang’, ‘Loi ca dang Bac’, ‘Hanh quan xa’, ‘To quoc oi ta da nghe’, ‘Nhu co Bac trong ngay vui dai thang’, and others.
