ABO/NDO- The Hue Nam Temple Festival was celebrated in Thua Thien Hu Province on April 10, attracting the participation of hundreds of local people and visitors.
The highlight of the festival was a ritual procession worshipping the Mother Goddesses, heading to Hue Nam Palace along major downtown streets in Hue City.
This is the second time since 1971 the procession has been fully re-enacted, showcasing colourful ancient costumes and performances which are unique traits of the ritual worship of the Mother Goddesses.

The festival also included a ritual to pray for peace and prosperity for the nation, a lantern releasing ceremony, and performances of folk songs and dances.
The traditional festival of Hue Nam Temple, also known as Hon Chen Temple, is held annually on the second and third days of the third lunar month. It worships Thien Y A Na (Lady Po Nagar), the holy mother of the Cham ethnic community in the South Central region.
