Representing the Editorial Board, Dr. Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum, said that there have been many publications about President Ho Chi Minh published, however “Ho Chi Minh in visual arts” is one of the rare books that has been carefully selected about the image of Uncle Ho in visual arts, especially in the book there are details about each historical moment and the process of creating the work, and the emotions and concerns of the artist when creating about him.

To mark the occasion, there is an exhibition titled “Ho Chi Minh in visual arts” taking place at the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum, displaying 60 selected works from the collection of hundreds of valuable works about President Ho Chi Minh by Vietnamese and foreign painters, sculptors, and artisans.

Viewers have the opportunity to admire the gouache painting “Forever grateful to Uncle Ho” created in 1969 by artist Nguyen Quang Phong (1925-2013), the first work in the collection of the Viet Nam Museum of Fine Arts on the theme of President Ho Chi Minh, to the large-scale oil painting “President Ho wades through the stream to work” (2009) by artist Bui Van Hoan (born in 1971), the most recent work collected by the Viet Nam Museum of Fine Arts on this theme.
