Online Vietnamese learning website for OV launched

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has put an online programme to teach the Vietnamese language to overseas Vietnamese (OV) into operation at http://www.tiengvietonline.com.vn.

Lessons are designed based on the contents of two textbook series: ‘Que Viet’ for adults (six books) and ‘Tieng Viet vui’ for children and adolescents (six books). New words in each lesson are translated into English to help learners understand the lesson. Learners can test their listening, reading and writing capacities themselves and check the answers.

Learners can also download all lessons and exercises for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Under a scheme for supporting teaching and learning the Vietnamese language among OV, −carried out by the MOET−the programme is expected to help further OV learn and improve their Vietnamese.
