International Olympiad medal-winning students to be honoured
A ceremony to honour International Olympiad medal-winning students and top ranking students in university entrance exams will take place in Hanoi on November 3rd and be broadcast live on Vietnam Television VTV2.

The information was released at a press briefing on the ceremony held in Hanoi by the Ministry of Education and Training on October 30th.
Accordingly, 11 gold medal-winning students from the International Olympiad will be presented Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; 24 students achieving silver and bronze medals and certificates of merit at international and regional Olympiads, five winning students at international technical and scientific contest 2014 and ten top
Intern ranking students in university entrance exam 2014 will be given Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training will present Certificates of Merit to 20 teachers and educational workers who contributed to training and instructing the national team at Olympiads.
The ceremony is only part of the programe honouring outstanding students from November 1 to 3. As scheduled, students will participate in an exchange on the homeland’s sea and islands in the northern port city of Hai Phong on November 1; offer incense at a commemorative area in Do Son district and visit Hai Phong navy museum in the morning of November 2.
In the afternoon of November 2, the delegation will meet Vice State President, Nguyen Thi Doan in Hanoi to make a report on achievements and listen to the Vice State President’s recommendations and encouragement.
Students will offer incense to President, Ho Chi Minh and watch films about President, Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi on November 3.
