Vietnam leads at 2nd Southeast Asian Go Championship

Vietnam ranked first at the second Southeast Asian Go Championship held in Malaysia from December 6-7, with 17 points.

The five Vietnamese players made their best performance at the tournament, bringing home one gold in team category and one silver and one bronze in individual’s event.

The first place win is one of the steps for Vietnam to strongly develop go game in the time to come. The sport was introduced in the country in 1993.

The championship drew the participation of 28 players from five regional countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
