Vietnam wins three gold medals at Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad
Six Vietnamese students have won three golds, two silvers and one bronze medal at the 2015 Asian-Pacific Informatics Olympiad hosted by Indonesia.

The information was announced by Department of Examinations and Education Quality Assessment on May 19.
Of the medalists, five are from the University of Natural Science’s High School for Gifted Students under the Vietnam National University-Hanoi. Among of them, Nguyen Tien Trung Kien, Nguyen Viet Dung, both 12th graders, and Phan Duc Nhat Minh, a 11th grader, won gold medals. Meanwhile their schoolmates, Do Ngoc Khanh, Pham Van Hanh, both 12th graders, received silver medals.
Additionally, a bronze medal went to Vu Hoang Phuc, a 12th grader at the Hanoi University of Education’s High School for Gifted Students.
This year’s Asian-Pacific Informatics Olympiad has attracted 598 contestants from 27 countries. The three Vietnamese students who won gold medals, are among the 18 examinees received full marks – 300 points.
The Vietnamese team has ranked third at this year’s competition.
