Visitors to the Microsoft Store can experience the latest offerings from the giant software maker such as its Lumia smartphones, the Surface tablet, Windows-based notebooks and cloud services such as Office 365 and OneDrive.
A representative of Microsoft Mobile Vietnam said Vietnam is a key market in its mobile strategy and the opening of the Microsoft Store is the first step in realising this strategy.
Microsoft Vietnam’s chief executive Vu Minh Tri said the opening would help bring many personal computers and services to users as Microsoft is planning to launch its latest operating system Windows 10 at the end of July.
Chief executive of local distributor FPT said the company has been working with Microsoft over the last 20 years to develop the devices and services market.
With the opening of the first Microsoft Store, FPT will continue to play an important role in providing genuine Microsoft devices and services to Vietnamese consumers.
