They include two biotech parks in Hanoi and Dong Nai province and a tech park named Ascendas-Protrade in Binh Duong province, funded by the local budget and other financial sources.

Vietnam currently has three hi-tech parks in Hanoi, Da Nang city and Ho Chi Minh City.

Under the plan, resources will be allocated to tech parks to promote scientific research aimed at bolstering economic growth, enhancing the economy’s competitiveness and accelerating industrialisation and modernisation.

Incentive policies will also be introduced to attract high quality human resources to these tech parks, as well as strengthen ties between the parks and research institutes, universities and enterprises in priority sectors.
