Vietnam's Facebook users jump to 30 million

In Vietnam, Facebook had 30 million monthly active users as of the first quarter of this year, up from more than 10.6 million in late 2012, according to the Internet World Stats.

The figure makes the country one of Facebook’s fastest-growing markets.

Among the 30 million users, 27 million use mobile devices to access the social network.

The latest statistics show 20 million Vietnamese access the social network on a daily basis, 13 percent higher than the global daily usage of social network.

Even government officials have launched their own Facebook pages.

Around 75 percent of Vietnamese Facebook users are aged from 18 to 34.

Each Vietnamese user spends an average of two and a half hours on Facebook every day, twice the time for TV, according to the data.
