The Government official made the request while working with the steering board on July 1, the first day of the exams.

He highly appreciated the thorough preparations of the city for the major examination, noting that as a huge number of students flock to Hanoi to attend the exam, the steering board should attach special attention in all fields to provide adequate information for the examinees.

As the exam is taking place in abnormally hot weather, he requested the health sector and volunteers stay ready to ensure the health of students and their relatives.

Earlier, in the morning, Deputy PM Dam visited the Hanoi University of Technology to inspect preparations for the exams.

He encouraged students to remain confident in order to complete the examinations to the best of their abilities and gain the highest possible score.

He also called on teachers, supervisors and volunteers to actively fulfill their tasks for the overall success of the exam.

According to the city authorities’ report, ten exam venues were set up in Hanoi with the participation of over 118,000 students across the country.

Chairman of Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao said that city authorities have worked with the education and electricity sectors, public security and volunteers to provide optimal conditions for the entrants. Measures are also being taken to ensure traffic and food safety during the exam.
