Tien Giang Union of Friendship Organizations holds the congress

On July 9, Tien Giang Union of Friendship Organisations (TUFO) province held the first congress in the term of 2015-2020.

Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Vu Xuan Hong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh, Deputy Permanent Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Kim Mai, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc, etc… attended this event.

The executive committee of TUFO in the term of 2015-2020

As a political organization - society specialized in foreign affairs people with the role of key direction for the organization and activities of its member organizations in the work of peace, solidarity, friendship and people cooperation, in recent years, TUFO has actively coordinated with other departments and agencies, unions and provincial member associations to implement more effectively people's external activities.

Specifically, TUFO has contacted and worked directly with 354 times of nongovernmental delegations to Tien Giang with 4,542 visitors; simultaneously, TUFO has been contacted regularly with 17 non-governmental organizations to carry out foreign-made programs, projects, pilot projects in Tien Giang province as well as organize or participate in 17 missions going abroad, etc…

The Congress unanimously adopted the consultation results to elect executive committee, the standing committee, the title of chairman, vice chairman, board of inspection TUGO tenure 2015 - 2020. In particular, the executive committee with 13 members and Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc as chairman of the TUGO.

At the congress, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations has awarded the baldechin to TUGO and medal "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" to 9 individuals and Certificate of Merit to 2 groups, 14 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee has awarded the baldechin to TUGO and Certificate of Merit to 5 individuals because of achievements in foreign affairs people.
