The package consists of the construction of wastewater treatment plant, pump stations, transmission pipes, and operations and maintenance.

The city’s wastewater treatment plant, which will be on 9.6 hectares in An Dong ward, is expected to be built within 33 months. Once it is completed, the plant will have a capacity of 30,000 cubic metres per day.

Seven pump stations will be constructed in basins in the city, with a total capacity of 112,263 cubic metres per day.

Wastewater flow will be collected at the basin pump stations and then pumped into the main station.

The 2.6 kilometre pipeline will be built to carry the wastewater from the main pump station to the wastewater treatment plant.

The water environment improvement project in Hue city was divided into two phases - the first will be implemented from now to 2018 in 10 wards in the south of Huong river.

Feasible projects and detailed designs for the full development of the entire city’s water drainage system will be created during the second phase.

The project targets refurbishing and extending the the stormwater drainage system of the southern area of the Huong river as well as building and developing the system for collecting and treating around 70% of domestic wastewater in this area by 2020, significantly contributing to overcoming environmental pollution in the city.
