Nationwide starts the new academic year on morning of September 5

All schools in the country starts the new academic year 2015-2016 on the morning of September 5, instead of choosing an opening day in each school as previous. 

 

Ministry of Education and Training has decided to choose September 5, 2015 as “The day all people take children to school” for every schools in country to start the new academic year 2015-2016 on morning of September 5.

Content of the opening ceremony must concentrate on welcoming children who become the first grader in the new academic year, saluting the flag, singing the national anthem, reading a letter of the President and the group activities (culture, arts, sports, folk games, etc... ).

The decision was made after consulting representatives of the Department of Education and Training at the conference to summarize the academic year 2014 - 2015 and to deploy mission of the new school year 2015 - 2016.

 

Currently, there are about 22.21 million pupils and students, including 4.42 million preschool children, 15.08 million high school students, 0.35 million teachnical secondary students and 2.36 million university, college students. The fix of the opening ceremony at the same day on September 5 will ensure the real starting the new school year festival of teachers and students in nationwide.
