Tien Giang University inaugurates the project of Basic Science Department

On October 10, Tien Giang University celebrated the ceremony to inaugurate the project of Basic Science Department.

 

Deputy Standing Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh,  Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Khang and of provincial departments attended this event.

The project of Basic Science Department is one of many  blocks of works for teaching service in the overall plan of Tien Giang University’s detailed construction. This project was started to construct on October 11, 2010 and finished on June 25, 2015. The total capital investment in building is VND291 billion in the first phase.

The project of Basic Science Department has a total area of over 23,000 square meters, including 5 floors, 1 top floor and 1 ground floor. It consists of 54 classrooms, 15 laboratories, 4 lab, 4 computer rooms, 1 hall with 300 seats, 1 stateroom with 150 seats and other functional rooms. This project is designed and constructed on solidification, modern, convenient style to meet the needs of teaching, learning, experimenting of 3,000 teachers and students of this university. 

 

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Khang asked the school management to use of good facilities as well as ensure the placement and quality of students, striving to build and develop Tien Giang University to become a training base of human resources diversity, high quality serving for Mekong Delta’s cause of industrialization and modernization, to meet the requirements of employers and associations international integration.
