The event saw the participation of over 1,500 representatives from 27 countries around the world and from 32 states of the host country.

In her message delivered at the meeting, Ambassador Lan stated that since preschool education is the first level in the national educational system, it lays an initial foundation for the development of children in all physical and intellectual aspects.

The caring for and educating of preschool children must be implemented by close co-ordination between families, schools, and society, she stressed.

She also pointed out the need to raise awareness of parents in child care and education.

During her stay in Monterrey, the Vietnamese Ambassador met with domestic and foreign delegates who took part in the event.

She also saluted a delegation of doctors from Vietnam's Central Acupuncture Hospital who are on a working visit to Mexico, and visited some historical and cultural sites in the city.
