All 12 Vietnamese students taking part in the 12th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary School 2015 (IMSO 2015) hosted by the Thai Ministry of Education won medals from the contest.

They brought home two gold, six silver and four bronze medals in maths and science subjects, in which the latter comprised physics, geology and biology.

Both seventh grade students Nguyen Nhat Linh and Bui Phuong Nam collected gold medals in maths.

IMSO 2015, which began on November 1, attracted under-13 students from over 20 nations and territories to compete in maths and science subjects in English.

Vietnam sent 12 students from Giang Vo Secondary School of Hanoi to attend the contest. This is the second year Vietnamese students have taken part in the contest. In 2014, Vietnamese students brought three silver and seven bronze medals.
