On December 7, Tien Giang Study Promotion Association held the fourth Congress term 2015-2020. Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Study Promotion Association Luong Ngoc Toan, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc, attended this event.

The Executive Committee of the 2015-2020 tenure

In the term of 2010-2015, Tien Giang Study Promotion Association continued to be strengthened and developed with the number of members increased over the years. The total membership up to now is over 80,000 members, reaching 8.0 percent of the population. This association promoted the construction of the learning society with a target as propaganda and mobilization people to participate in learning. The movement of studious family, studious family, study promotion community education promotion and study promotion community unit attracted many members to participate. In the last term, there was over 32,000 families being recognized studious family.

The association’s featured program in past five year were supported and  contributed bringing practical results to support students such as scholarship program, the study promotion house program, the relay to the school program, etc .... Total funding for implementation study promotion activities in past 5 years was over VND168 billion, etc...

In the term of 2015-2020, Tien Giang Study Promotion Association identified to strive for 100 percent membership to study and propagandize constructing models of lifelong learning. Each urban, district will have 20 to 25 percent of family to be recognized as learning family with 7 to 10 families to be recognized as learning family, 40 percent of the organizations, agencies, schools, the unit recognized learning unit, etc…
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc praised many results of the Provincial Study Promotion Association in the last term.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the 2015-2020 tenure, consisting of 51 members. The Executive Committee of new term has conducted the first session to elect the Standing Committee with 11 members and Mrs Dong Thi Bach Tuyet reelected Chairwoman of Tien Giang Study Promotion Association.

The board also selected 6 delegates to attend the National Congress of Vietnam Study Promotion.
