Tien Giang University holds the opening ceremony for the new academic year 2016 - 2017

On October 7, Tien Giang University has just held the opening ceremony for the new academic year 2016 – 2017. Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc attended the meeting.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, Tien Giang University enrolled 2,000 students to school in 14 university branches and 19 college branches, increasing the scale of the university’s training over 10,000 students.
In the 2015-2016 academic year, Tien Giang University had over 65 percent of students achieved good level upwards, including 76 percent of students got suitable jobs, etc…

In the 2016-2017 academic year, the school will continue to innovate programs, teaching method, testing and evaluation in order to promote the autonomy and creativity of learners; promote scientific research and transfer technology to create high quality of scientific products. The college’s facilities also continue to be strengthened to ensure the practice space, practice of students.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc appreciated the efforts of the college in recent years; and asked the college to continue to strive to improve the efficiency of training and scientific research; continued to focus on training human resources quality for meeting the requirements of the labor market in the province and the region, etc...
 
On this occasion, the school rewarded students with excellent performance in the last school year as well as received 600 million VND funding from benefactors.
