Tien Giang Medical College holds the opening ceremony for the new academic year

On November 2, Tien Giang Medical College held the opening ceremony for the new academic year 2016 – 2017. Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc attended this event.

Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc beat the school drum to launch the new school year 2016-2017.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, Tien Giang Medical College enrolled 1,000 students to school in 12 college, intermediate and primary branches, increasing the scale of the university’s training over 2,300 students. 

The school’s theme of the 2016-2017 academic year is "Strengthening discipline, order, continuing to innovate management, improving quality and accelerating training according to the needs of society". The staff of teachers and students strive with 60 percent of students to graduate well and at least 50 percent of scientific research and inititative improvement applied effectively in teaching and treatment.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc appreciated the efforts of the college in recent years; and asked the college to continue to strive to improve the efficiency of training and scientific research, focusing on pratice in training and creating favorable conditions for students to approach work after graduating. 

 

On this occasion, Deputy Head of Tien Giang Medical College Chau Ngoc Thuy was awarded the Prime Minister's certificate of merit. The Provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 13 collectives and 3 individuals.  Tien Giang Medical College also rewarded excellent students in the entrance examination of this year.
