In 2016, Tien Giang Union of Science and Technology Association has basically completed the tasks set out and achieved good results. In the field of science technology, the union held a successful acceptance provincial subject: "Researching model to build interventions to reduce the prevalence of hepatitis B virus and managing arthritis patients chronic hepatitis B in Tien Giang province” with the result ranked class A, holding successful the ninth creative scientific Contest for children and youth, achieving 3 awards in the creative science - engineering competition of Vietnam.

In the field of consultancy, judgment and social expertise, the Uninon has approved the outline 58 topics and projects, contributing comments on several draft laws, participating successfully judgment 3 scheme implemented by Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee.

In 2017, the Tien Giang Union of Science and Technology Association will organize tasks such as: to implement provincial research with topic "The study to recommend converting the seasonal crop of agricultural production on the ground planted rice to adapt with change climate in the Go Cong freshening zone", to coordinate with other branches to hold the tenth creative scientific Contest for children and youth, etc…
