Chairman of the PPC works with Tien Giang Medical College

On May 23, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong and representatives of provincial departments worked with Tien Giang Medical College.

According to report, in the 2016-2017 school year, Tien Giang Medical College has 2,500 students with 10 training programes including colleges, intermediate and primary grade.

There are 1,000 graduates on average every per year to complement health workers inside and outside the province.

To strengthen traditional education, training and medical examination and treatment as well as continue to perform well tasks and facilitate the development of school, leader of Tien Giang Medical College proposed the following issues: To rule supported and attracted policy for doctors to work at Tien Giang Medical College; To formulate the project for the establishment of a family medicine center; To build the project for developing the school into Tien Giang Technical Medical and Pharmaceutical University.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong noted the recommendations and suggestions of the school and requested provincial departments to support the school. In the implementation process, it is neccesary to consider and buil a plan of steps with specific roadmap, each stage closely follow the general planning of the sector.
