Vietnamese students bag gold at Asian Physics Olympiad
Vietnamese students were honored at the 18th Asian Physics Olympiads when they brought home one gold, three silver and three consolation prizes.

The competition was held in Yakutsk, Russia from May 1 to 9 with the participation of 22 nations and territories worldwide.
Eight Vietnamese students captured one gold, three silver and three encouragement prizes.
The gold medal went to 12th grader Dinh Anh Dung from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for Gifted students.
12 grader Nguyen The Quynh from Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted students in the central province of Quang Binh, 12 grader Ta Ba Dung from Nature Science High School for Gifted students in Hanoi and 12 grader Tran Huu Binh Minh from Phan Boi Chau High School for Gifted students in the central province of Nghe An won silver medal.
11 grader Nguyen Ngoc Long from Lam Son High School for the Gifted student in the northern province of Thanh Hoa, 12 grader Nguyen Dinh Bach from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for Gifted students and 12 grader Phan Tuan Linh from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted students in Nghe An province were given encouragement prizes
The competition attracted 153 candidates. Of 82 winners, Vietnam has seven winners accounting for 87.5 percent.
